Join the Gather & Give annual fundraiser. Get together and create a memorable night to raise funds for your children’s school. This includes planning and organizing the event, gathering donations, helping set up/break down, choosing a theme, & hiring vendors. This truly is the gift of giving.
The successes we share allow us to bridge the gap with funding and support extras for our kiddos at this charter school. It directly impacts our beloved programs such as Artist-In-Residence, Electives, garden & SciTech, Science supplies, and many other areas.

The Campus Beautification Committee is responsible for flower bed weed abatement, plant trimming, planting of new plants/flowers if needed, and checking for issues with the drip irrigation. We are looking for more volunteers to ensure our campus remains vibrant and orderly.
We have four specific areas remaining we need volunteers for. As for a time requirement, look at a couple of hours per month, at your own speed, whenever convenient. There are no set days or times, just when able.
We are also looking for a 5-person team that can do special projects when they come up (i.e., flower planting, smaller tree trimming, weed abatement in the play structure area, etc.), so there is not an actual time requirement, but only when a particular job/project arises.
If you are interested or know anyone looking to help maintain Bellevue's overall aesthetics, please reach out. We would LOVE to have you be a part of the family!

Support our sacred school garden. Dig in to keep our plants and fruit trees healthy, and help weed the garden beds. Create the space to be outside and give back with your kids. Don’t forget your hat, water & SPF.

We are looking for someone for lunch duty on Thursdays or Fridays, from 12:10-1. It could be each week OR every other week. If you have younger kids who are not yet in school, they would be able to come to recess with you if you’d be able to keep them close to you.
If you are willing to help out in this way, please text Jenny Crooks at (805) 264-6193.

Ongoing fundraising helps coordinate restaurant nights, local shopping, and give back days to raise money for the school. We often work hand in hand with the social committee to create opportunities for BSFCS families to come together “outside” of school and connect.
Volunteers are appreciated to set up restaurant nights, prepare for our 2nd Annual Rummage Sale in the spring, and to brainstorm ideas to raise funds for our PTO to give back to our school!
Commitment is as needed before and/or during the event.

There are several important BSFCS events that parents organize, including Back to School Night, Soup Social, and Open House. This team is also going to decorate for festivities throughout the school year. Let’s bring some spirit to our Multi-Purpose Room for celebrations.

Join the team that focuses on expressing our eternal gratitude for our dedicated staff throughout the year. This group acknowledges our teachers and administration with small acts of kindness and hosted lunches. It is such a rewarding experience. Megan Horner will be providing monthly staff lunches with which she may need setup and/or breakdown prep help.
We will especially need extra help in May for Staff Appreciation Week!

VAPA is a big part of our Charter School. We have an Artist-In-Residence program where all students are taught visual and performing arts during the school day. Our committee also coordinates special assemblies, bringing in local artists, musicians, dancers, actors, motivational speakers, authors, and more to share their craft with our students at morning assembly. We also facilitate a Variety Show each spring to enjoy and celebrate our students’ unique talents. There are limited brainstorming and planning meetings and participation is on a variety of commitment levels. The more of us there are, the more ideas and the more enriching arts experience for the kids!
Please reach out if you:
Know of a performer who would share their talent at assembly
Want to help out with our Spring Variety Show
Want to help organize
Have other ideas or want to help brainstorm
Note: BSFCS has an intensive after-school theater experience that culminates in a musical performance at the Clark Center. The kids love to participate, and while the VAPA Committee does not manage it, there are lots of opportunities for parents to support the play as well.
